We're publishing our very first book, Little Women.

This isn't your mom's Little Women, but we bet she'd love it too!

We've split the classic novel into 7 SLICES sized like modern comics and covered with jaw-dropping art from some of our favourite artists.

We also have original merch, a reading helper and a book club. How cool is that?

What's inside?

Each Slice features approximately 28 pages of the original text rounded off at the nearest chapter. It’s all beautifully laid out in Baskerville Neo, a font as timeless as the story itself.

7 Posters

Buy one for your living room, another for your office, or all of them because you're an unconditional Alcott fan who celebrates March 4. Yes, we just invented this commemorative day. And yes, it absolutely should be a thing! Each cover will be posterized. Printed on demand on acid-free fine art paper (16 × 24 inches).

5 Recipes

You’ve read the book, now it’s time to taste it.

If you've ever wondered "why is she risking EVERYTHING for those pickled limes?" this one's for you. We’re serving up 1800s dishes like corned beef, pickled limes, French chocolate, lobster salad and blanc mange so you can finally understand why they won’t stop eating it.

And yes, this is just the start of our literary recipe cards collection!

1 Notebook

Jot, scribble and write notes as you read through the book.

Then revisit them later like a time capsule from Past You. You might notice new details, reflect on how you have changed, or even keep adding to it on a second read.

Here’s a scoop. Each book gets a notebook designed like a vintage tourist poster, turning your collection into a literary travelogue.

1 Postcard

I went to Camp Laurence and all I got was this awesome postcard.

Use it as a bookmark, write a brief review of the book to revisit later, or start collecting them to create an album of your classic reads.

… or send it to a friend because a passage made you think of them and convert them into a Little Women fan.

… or mail it back to BookWormHole, and we’ll start a postcard wall with messages from our readers. Honestly, this is the dream… but no pressure, it’s your postcard.

Our six reasons for splitting up a classic…

Share with your family before you've finished the whole book.

Stunning covers to enjoy for the collector in you.

Perfectly dosed: less bingeable, less daunting.

Bigger font and easy on the eyes.

Lighter weight, easy on the hands.

More memorable as it has more “tactile surface”. See FAQ.

Amazing Apps

Book Club

A place not for reviewers (there are plenty of those already) but for fans to obsess over every tiny detail.

Tagged and categorized to keep spoilers in check, so you can drop by even on your first read.

Moderated to keep it not just civil, stress-free, rant-free but light-hearted and enjoyable.

Reading helper

Ever get to a weird old-timey word and think, “Wait, what’s that?” We’ve got you. Our web tool matches each printed page with its online twin and decodes all the tricky stuff for you.

It’s like having a super nerdy friend whispering definitions in your ear while you read, but you know, less creepy.

FAQ

Is this a graphic novel/comic version of the book?

No, this is a full text version of the book, divided into Slices with comic book-style covers. The orginal text is fully preserved in all its glory.

Why do you keep calling them Slices?

They are not “issues” since they are all printed at the same time. Books already have “parts” and “volumes,” so we wanted to avoid any mix-ups.

When is the Kickstarter launch?

As soon as we reach 1,000 subscribers to our mailing list. We could say 'soon' and be mysterious but, being real, we really need you to be the hero of this story.

Are you going to publish the second part too?

Of course! What kind of monsters would we be if we left you hanging after just one book? Once the Kickstarter campaign ends, we'll immediately start work on our next project.

Is this the start of a classic book collection?

You bet. This is the first step toward our goal of publishing the most popular classic books in this format.

What's up with the tactile surface?

From the results of this printed books vs e-books study we have the hunch people will remember our books better than standard books as they have more "tactile surface", in the same way print books are easier to remember than e-books. Yes, we're open to a scientific face off.
